DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OF POSITION:

The individual will be responsible for student management and services to Special Education students. The individual must have the experience and ability to collect and analyze assessment data, write and implement IEP plans, student support or behavior plans. The individual will work collaboratively and cohesively with general education teachers in a team format. A high degree of professionalism, passion for teaching and learning, highly effective communication skills, and demonstration of cultural proficiency is necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Massachusetts certification in Special Education required.
Preference for candidates with experience teaching in a language-based
classroom and teaching reading. Possibility of teaching American Sign
Language if qualified to do so. Experience teaching middle school-aged children is preferred.
