DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

        OF POSITION:

Selects, directs and produces two plays per school year. 

A play without music in the fall.

A musical in the spring.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sets rehearsal schedules, which must include at least three rehearsals per week, each at least 3 hours in length.

Works Closely with the Technical Director in order to create a cohesive set design.

Manages revolving fund account, including timely deposits of revenue.

Collaborates with the Musical Director on the Spring musical in order to effectively prepare students for their performances.  

Ensures that the students have a space to rehearse and perform.

Mentors student costume designers, lighting designers, stage managers and directors when appropriate.

Maintains connections with local theaters.
